SII Capture
The SII Capture software is a simple stand alone interface to the Stokes Imaging System. It contains all the capture capability of IWS but provides none of the workflow advantages. It does not require the IWSDB and its license is included in the basic Stokes Imaging System purchase price. Writing of the images to disk is a manual process performed by the operator with each scan. After the operator makes pre-scan adjustments, the image is scanned taking into account focus, lighting, and color. Based on the scan width and lighting characteristics, the capture station automatically adjusts focus and exposure for the image once it is positioned under the camera. Once the image is scanned, it is automatically converted from 14 to 16 bits per color, applying a color matrix if applicable, and optionally scaling the image based on operator settings. All of the calibration capabilities in IWS are included in SII Capture.
